At Better Exercise Physiology we specialise in all things exercise; whether it be helping you get fit or treating pain and injuries. We run Clinical Pilates classes, Pilates Plus classes, Yoga, Low Impact classes and see people for individual Exercise Physiology appointments.

Our story
Better Exercise Physiology was started by Chris Neason with the aim of providing a much needed service in the Yarra Valley. Over the years Chris has been lucky enough to work across Melbourne’s top clinics, gyms and fitness centres. Being local, his vision was to take the best of all these models and put them into practice in his own backyard.
What’s in a name?
We came up with the name Better Exercise Physiology because we strive to be better in everything we do. A better service, a better experience and most importantly better results for you.

Charmaine Lower
Receptionist & Office Manager

Living by the mantra of surround yourself with positive people Charmaine is an integral part of the Better Exercise Physiology team. As a Healesville local she loves the opportunity to make a real difference in the community, supporting others to lead healthy lives.
As a mum of 6 and 7 year olds, Cohen and Charlotte, Charmaine knows that food is medicine and life can get busy; planning is key. For exercise Charmaine loves the fact she can fit in Pilates and Yoga classes around her busy life.
Chris Neason
Exercise Physiologist (MClinExPhys, BExSci, ESSAM)
With a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology Chris spent over 3 years teaching Pilates at some of Melbourne’s top clinics and studios before deciding to go his own way. Back in 2013 Chris opened Better Exercise Physiology in his home town to bring a much needed service to the community.
You’ll find Chris working with a mix of clients taking our Clinical Pilates classes and Exercise Physiology appointments. Chris’ job history includes work at Melbourne Pilates, Physiotherapy and Fitness Group, one of the most reputable clinics in Melbourne. Chris also has a strong background in fitness and high performance training.
Kelly Williams
Exercise Physiologist (MClinExPhys, BEx&SpoSci, Cert III & IV Fitness, ESSAM)

With a passion for good health and fitness, Kelly has completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology. With experience in personal training and corrective exercise Kelly looks after our Pilates Plus and Clinical Pilates classes, whilst also offering Exercise physiology and Personal Training sessions.
She’s particularly motivated to help those with chronic disease or injury to help regain their health and fitness through the correct rehabilitative exercises, this includes weight loss where we go through the journey together with a holistic approach with the correct education.
Bri McDonald
Exercise Physiologist (MClinExPhys, BExSci, Cert III & IV in Fitness, Cert III Outdoor Rec, ESSAM)
As a lover of the outdoors and high level sport, Bri decided to pursue a career in fitness and exercise. Studying at Deakin University she completed her Bachelor Degree in Sport Science and her Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology. She is also a qualified Pilates for Rehabilitation Instructor.
Taking our Clinical Pilates and Pilates Plus classes Bri specialises in musculoskeletal pain, arthritis and low back pain. Her passion is helping clients achieve their goals and live a healthier, more active and functional lifestyle.
